Pannello Home Interiors designs and installs custom millwork: built-in bookcases, window seats, mudroom storage, and home office walls. The site tagline names millwork next to cabinets and closets, and the work is fabricated in the same shop as the kitchens. Smaller built-in programs are described in the journal at 2 to 3 weeks. A kitchen that shares the finish board stays on the 3 to 5 week cabinet schedule.

The drawing starts with the room. Existing molding profiles are measured, the built-in is drawn to the ceiling and the floor, and the finish is the same 2K polyurethane used on the cabinetry. In a condo, a bookcase that reaches the ceiling without fastening to it is often the right piece, because building rules limit what can attach overhead. In a Georgetown rowhouse, new painted millwork is matched to the original profiles before fabrication.

Mudroom built-ins and home office built-ins have their own pages, so those queries are not answered by a kitchen page. When a laundry shares the mudroom hall, its cabinets are part of that mudroom drawing, not a separate service. McLean and Bethesda have local pages for the multi-room programs those houses usually are.

Why Pannello

Shop-built, matched to the house

Built-ins that have to hold books, hide cables, or survive a garage entry are cabinetry. They are drawn in elevation, finished in the shop, and installed by the same crew.

  • Same shop and hardware as the kitchens
  • Profiles matched before fabrication, not trimmed on site to hide a gap
  • One finish board when the kitchen, pantry, and mudroom are one program

What you get

The details that separate custom cabinetry from everything else.

Bookcases and library walls

Floor to ceiling, scribed to the plaster or the drywall that is there.

Window seats

Seat depth taken from the window recess, measured on site.

Mudroom runs

Lockers and a bench at the garage entry. Cabinets beside a laundry are drawn with them when the rooms share a hall.

Home office walls

Desk, overhead cabinets, and shelves drawn as one elevation.

From clients & designers

What people say after living with their Pannello cabinetry.

"Impressive service after I gave Pannello Home Interiors the difficult task of a partial kitchen renovation. Some of the old frames are far from straight, but the team kept measuring and adjusting for a perfect upgrade. Very pleasant and professional team to work with!"

Frequently asked

Questions clients ask before booking.

Cannot find what you are looking for? Send a question.

Is custom millwork the same as custom cabinets?

The construction is the same family: carcasses, doors, drawers, and hardware, drawn for a room that is not a kitchen. A bookcase or a mudroom uses that system. Crown and base that are only molding are site-applied. Anything with storage is shop-built.

Can millwork match molding in a Georgetown rowhouse?

The millwork guide describes the site visit: profiles are measured, and the new work is matched before fabrication. Painted millwork that follows the original profile reads with the house. The Old Georgetown Board reviews exterior changes. Interior millwork does not.

Where are built-ins specified in McLean and Bethesda?

McLean programs on this site are usually a kitchen, a butler’s pantry, a mudroom, and a closet on one finish board. The Bethesda great-room project includes a butler pantry and a mudroom in the same oak as the kitchen. Both neighborhoods have a built-ins page.
